There's help if you can't pay your utility billPosted Nov 17, 2020
Are you struggling to keep up with your electric, gas, and fuel bills? There is help available.
Learn what assistance is available and how to get it in this webinar by NH Legal Assistance attorney Ray Burke, several of the state's utility companies and representatives of the Community Action Agencies.
The presentation covers the Fuel Assistance Program, Electric Assistance Program, and recent changes to the Gas Assistance Program, as well as other assistance.
The presentation also explains the new Housing Relief Program that provides up to $2,500 for rent and utility bills for those in financial hardship. The application deadline for that program is Dec. 18, 2020. Visit capnh.org to find out more and apply.
Additionally, the utility companies are offering eligible customers payment plans that temporary halt disconnection for unpaid bills. Contact your utility company for more information on that assistance.
